This is the first time I will not be spending Christmas with my family this year. I’ll admit, I was a little bit sad and envious at first… but today, I woke up feeling perky and happy. Maybe it’s because of the the Christmas Spirit? Or because we have a mini (but not really) Christmas party at work? I don’t know, but I’m sure of one thing: If you’re spending Christmas with loved ones, be thankful because a lot of people would love to trade places with you. :) Being an OFW, I realized how lucky most of you are to be with your family during the holidays.
The Cisco CCT Routing & Switching examination is a required entry level test that an applicant must take in order to receive a certification in the associated field. You can revise for this test online at ExamTrace.
However, even though the test will only provide you with an entry level certification, the entry level certification will prove that you possess the necessary skills to be able to provide onsite maintenance and support for Cisco routers, operating environments, and switches.
As a technician in the field, you will need to know how to identify different varieties of Cisco router and switch models, cabling, accessories, and interfaces. The reason why you will need to be able to identify the different models is because you will constantly be working with the models every single day.
Aside from being able to tell the difference between the separate models, you should also possess the skills to be able to utilize a CLI. The term CLI is an acronym that means Command Line Interface. Technicians that possess a CCT Routing & Switching certification will know how to connect to a CLI and other service products associated with it.
By obtaining a CCT Routing & Switching certification, you will have the best foundation necessary for supporting various types of Cisco systems and devices.
