Bestie is the girl behind The Capricious Club. She is twenty-something child-at-heart a little too obsessed with fashion. This half-Greek fashionista likes sweets, cupcakes, doughnuts, ice cream and chocolate but can’t stand in queue and is deathly terrified of snakes. Though this girl is never fond of the beach, she dreams to travel the world someday.
- She can quote “Friends” at the drop of a hat
- Crime and serial-killer themed shows are her guilty pleasure
- I’m a little envious of people who have to wear eyeglasses.
- My most-watched movie is “You’ve Got Mail”, and I am not even ashamed of it.
What does fashion mean to you? When did you become interested in fashion
Fashion, to me, is more than just trends or labels or the simple owning of things. I see it as a whole other world where I am most myself because I can dress however way I please. And although there tends to be quite a bit of negativity in/towards the fashion industry, I choose to find solace in it. I think I’ve always been fascinated with fashion but it was only in College (goodbye Catholic School uniform!) that I started to take a proactive role in it.
How do you define your personal style? Is there anyone that have influenced you and why?
I have never been able to define my style because frankly it changes all the time. I’m fickle like that. Fashion bloggers – and other style icons – from around the world constantly influence me and make me want to be more adventurous with my outfits. What I love most is being able to try different looks and seeing what works on me.
