Q: Hi ate! Gusto ko lang malaman mo na I adore you and your talent and how much effort you put in everything you do. You inspire me para mas maging better person. <3
<3 Wow! Uhm, I really don’t know what to say. To be honest, it’s such an honor to receive that kind compliment. Messages like these also inspires me to do better and continue whatever it is what I’m doing. So, thank you! <3 This really made my day. :)
Q: Ate, pwede ka po mag suggest ng fashion blog/bloggers? and can you suggest any online shops po?
You should check out the Topblogs button on my sidebar (that blue little thing), there you’ll be able to find other fashion bloggers from the Philippines. I suggest checking out until the second page, if you want something new and fresh.
As for online shops, please check out my friends’ shop and sponsors:
The clutch bag obviously has that edgy vibe in it. I think it’s a nice contrast for dainty pieces. While the flag bag has a vintage feel into it, obviously. I guess it’s a nice bag for casual dates and photo shoots.
Edgy vs. dainty. Most often than not, the spikes will win because they’re quite unique and such a perfect topic whenever someone wants to start conversation with you. But I don’t know, I’m leaning more on the belted high heels because it looks prettier. Haha.
Last night, I have read my friend Jonver’s post on his blog about Manny Pacquiao. I’m sure most of you may have already heard about international boxer’s rebuttal regarding Obama’s stand for gay marriage. I rarely post any of my opinions, in fact, I don’t think I have any post like this on my blog, but this issue is rather a sensitive topic to me.
I am aware of the reality that not everyone has the same opinions on the matter. This saddens me everyday, knowing that someone believes being a child of God means prejudice, hating on people for being who they are which they have no control of, taking away their rights and keeping them from being happy, or even, as Manny quoted, put them to their deaths. Keep in mind that not everyone also has the same beliefs, that not all of us believe in the same god or in a god, and that strongly affects our views too.
Be Body Beautiful at Any Age with Wacoal + Body Blogging Contest!
Back in 2007, I picked up the habit of stress eating. Food became my only source of comfort because I was struggling to juggle both school, work and other personal issues. My weight fluctuated drastically at that time and it caused me several body issues that I wish I knew how to solve. Fats were deposited in my abdomen and I started to develop stretch marks. It was then that I tried to use a girdle in order to help my sudden body change, but I think I wasn’t able to use it properly since it only made matters worse. Though stretch marks could be lessened with topical creams, I still think the whole thing was terrifying; stretch marks are usually a sign of body aging. I’ve always been thin throughout my life, so the sudden change shocked me. It was something that I never saw coming.
I’m sure I’m not the only one who had issues with changes in their body as time goes. We all had struggles through development, through changes in body figures, stretch marks and even pimples. But there is a way to embrace aging and to do it beautifully, if we know how to take care of ourselves properly. This includes observing proper diet, avoiding smoking and alcohol and wearing the right undergarments. It’s safe to say that many people underestimate the power of undergarments, when actually, they’re more than just covering sensitive areas of our body. Having the right undergarments for your age would not only provide the lift and support, it would also help you with your self body image.
Wacoal, a Japanese brand for intimate apparel for women, not only provides us top quality products that suit our needs but also conducts research that helps women to fully express their natural beauty comfortably at any stage of their life. Personally, I wish Wacoal could address these issues in various talks in schools and offices, so in that way, young women won’t have to face what I had to endure and they can immediately correct the mistakes they have been doing, whether it’s how to wear a bra properly or what kind of girdle they should buy.
"I feel bad for you. If I were you, I’d be so ashamed of myself." — My hater’s message for today.
Oh, are you talking to yourself?
With all honesty, I feel bad for you. I feel bad for you because you hate/dislike me so much that you took the time to send me an all caps hate mail. How long did it take for you to make that? A minute and a half? I bet you think I’m nothing but a pathetic piece of shit but hey, I was valuable enough to consume a minute and a half of your time. Maybe even longer!
So let’s assume you spent a minute and a half constructing a hate mail dedicated to me. Did the deed make you feel better about yourself? When you sent that hate mail, did it make you richer, prettier or smarter than me? Obviously, you didn’t become nicer than me. If I were you, I’d be so ashamed of myself.
Hating doesn't get you anywhere. and anon, hindi porket marunong ako mag english then you suddenly hear me speak straight english doesn't mean i copy taylor swift or amanda seryfried. doesn't mean i have purple jacket i already like justin bieber. doesn't mean i have lots of shoes i'm already imelda marcos. doesn't mean i have tumblr i'm david karp. what's your philosophy in life? because hating and judging and watching a person's every move will get you nowhere near life's real meaning.
