A quick snap of what I wore last week. I recently got a peter pan collar dress from OASAP but it was too big for me, so I turned it into a top instead and matched it with my red skirt to achieve that preppy look. I thought it would be pretty quirky if I wear my mustard shoes. Hehehe.

Photography Critique
I was approached by photography student, Angelique Onate, from DLS-Lipa if I can publish and critique her work. I personally think fashion photography is not yet my strong suit yet but I’m flattered that she finds me influential for that chosen field.
Moving on to the critique. The first thing I noticed was the lighting. I think she took these photos in the afternoon where the sunlight is the harshest. Photos, especially for portraiture, tends to be unflattering for the model. Although they did try to take photos under the shade, the tone was still harsh. Other than that, I’d say the photos are okay.
Now, since Angelique’s chosen field is fashion photography, I’m encouraging her to be more daring and creative with the poses of the model and concepts of her shoots. I think that’s what makes fashion photography different and challenging.
Angelique’s model is Sharmaine Maloles, a CSB student taking up Multimedia Arts. She’s wearing a corset from Candie’s, a skirt from Cotton On and shoes from Schu.
