Zac Efron for Penshoppe
Describe the conference in one word: Meh. It wasn’t that bad but it wasn’t that spectacular either. And here are the reasons why…
First, let’s talk about the “no camera” policy. You pay a certain amount of money to see Zac Efron. The fan conference is obviously a once in a lifetime opportunity and you’re not even allowed to document it? Absurd! I understand if they don’t want people to bring professional cameras but even a simple point and shoot wasn’t allowed. What annoyed me the most is that Publicity Asia even tweeted na may metal detector daw so no point of bringing a camera. Tapos yun lang pala, guards lang din yung mag-check nung bag mo.
Second, we waited for three freaking hours. THREE HOURS. According to the ticket, gates will open at 6PM. So we were there by 5PM since it’s a first come, first served basis. And you’re also not allowed to reenter the building. Then you’ll wait for three hours? OMG.
Third, the layout of the stage. They’ve decided to create a runway platform for Zac (see photo) to walk by, which could have been great IF Zac was constantly walking. But he’s not.
Fourth, there was a meet and greet raffle. I don’t know how they did the raffle but I’m certain that the selection wasn’t purely random. I mean, I’m not bitter for not winning the raffle but to see several consecutive ticket numbers on the screen? What were the odds?
Last but not the least, Boy Abunda’s list of questions. Your job was only do one thing, ask Zac if there’s any possibility of him and Vanessa getting back together. They belong together! <3
Of course, there were a few good things about the fan conference, like this little girl who got her first kiss from Zac (so lucky!) and when the audience started singing The Start of Something New. It was a fun night but I believe the money spent wasn’t worth the experience.
