Fashion Photography Workshop with Raymund Isaac

Last Saturday, I attended a Fashion Capsule at the School of Fashion and the Arts. The Fashion Capsule was a Fashion Photography Workshop with Philippines’ premiere fashion photographer, Raymund Isaac. I’ve decided to take this workshop because I believe that I still have lots to learn when it comes to this craft that I love and what’s better way to learn? Learn from the best, of course! ;)

Our first activity was an interesting experience to share. He asked us to cover our viewfinder and eyepiece with a piece of paper and take photographs in five minutes. The feeling of not being able to see what you’re capturing in the eyepiece was excruciating but the reason he asked us to do that was to show us that photography comes within. That what we shoot reflects who we are in some way. He said that we should not rely too much on on our camera and on technology itself because sooner or later, whatever camera we’re grasping now will be obsolete in the next five years.

Again, I met new people (YAY FOR NEW PEOPLE!!!). Patrick from CSB, Krysta from OBMCI (she even studies to the same branch I used to go to back in grade school), Jerry and a pioneer photographer from Manila Street Style. I even met Ines there (a TeenTalker I used to be friends in Multiply with, I’m not sure if she has a Tumblr)! :) Overall, the workshop was alright but it made me realize what my weakness are and what to do with them. :)

Anyway, the Fashion Photography Workshop is the first of the seven Fashion Capsules that the School of Fashion and the Arts are offering. Here’s a list of their workshop, including their schedule:
