Topshop Lipstick: Infrared, Nevada & Oh La La
Topshop is one of my favorite British brand. Even Londoners get crazy when Topshop goes on sale (I went to Topshop at Oxford Street one fine Sunday, and there were pople were outside waiting for the clock to strike at 11. The moment the store opened, it was C H A O S). But I was never interested in their cosmetic line until I’ve watched Late Night Nonsense's 3 Minute Makeup Video Challenge )She’s using Topshop Lip Bullet in Coy).
It took me about 30 minutes to decide but in the end, I bought colors that are usually out of my comfort zone: Infrared (bright orange red), Nevada (nude), and Oh La La (coral blush).
Topshop Lipstick in Infrared — Infrared is a bright orange lipstick with slight red tones. It doesn’t look orange-y on the photo though, sorry. I have no plans of getting orange lipstick until I tried this on. I wasn’t expecting it to be wearable, even during the day time. Also, it reminds me of that Avon Magic Lipstick my mom used to wear. Cute.
Topshop Lipstick in Nevada — This creamy lipstick gives my lips that muted pink nude look. They also make my lower lips look bigger. Great for smokey eyes!
Topshop Lipstick in Oh La La — My favorite among the three. After buying the MAC Ruby Woo, I got my eyes on a coral lipstick and this one is just perfect. It’s a coral blush shade; not too bright nor pale. Also, very creamy on the lips.
Thoughts on the Topshop Lipsticks
First of all, Topshop has a wide range of lip products, such as the lip bullet and lip marker. Meaning, you’ll never ran out of products to try from their collection.
Second, their lipsticks are really creamy and moisturizing. I also think that most of them are very pigmented, but the color doesn’t stick well if I apply lip balm first. :(
Third, I like the packaging but they’re not as ‘sturdy’ when compared to MAC lipsticks (I guess, that explains why their lipsticks are expensive).
Last but not the least, I want to try Brighton Rock, Saint (a sheer version of Nevada, so I wanna know if it will look good on me), and Whimsical. Actually, I want to try them all!
