On the third day in Hong Kong, we spent the day at The Peak. Victoria Peak, or most commonly known as The Peak, is a mountain located in Hong Kong island. There are shops and restaurants at this place but the main attraction is their observation deck and Madame Tussaud’s House of Wax.[[MORE]]
Some of the photos from the Disneyland fireworks that I failed to add in the previous photo diary + new iPhone cases.
There were more people this year at Madame Tussaud’s so it wasn’t really that fun to take photos with the wax figures. Plus, personalities like Nicole Kidman and Pierce Brosnan weren’t available. The observation deck, however, was fun this year. The deck is basically a spot where you can access Hong Kong in 270 degrees or less. The first time we’ve been here, it was incredibly cold that we couldn’t last for 15 minutes or longer… even if it was 2x crowded! This time, it was extremely windy that we were all jumping like little kids.
Not much photos during this trip because my camera died. I know, right? Well, I purposely did not charge my camera the night before so… ;p
We also had dinner at Bubba Gump where my sister and I feasted on this scrumptious rib-eye steak that we couldn’t help but order another one! Nomnomnom. <3 This is one of my boyfriend’s favorite restaurant but ever since he found out that shrimps are related to cockroaches, well… yeah!
On the fourth day, our agenda was to go to Tsim Sha Tsui, visit the Avenue of Stars and go to Toy R’ Us. The only purchase I made?

Every night, they have this Symphony Lights at Victoria Harbour… and I’m telling you, it’s not worth the wait. I ended up surfing the net all throughout, all thanks to GovHK! :)

This is Part 2 of my Hong Kong Disneyland Photo Diary.
There’s a 50-50 chance that this will be the end of my Hong Kong photo diary. I can’t really remember where did I put the rest of the photos. :( Hopefully, I can all sort this out this weekend after my Internet usage has been reset back to zero.

Anyway, after checking out Toy Story Land, my family went to watch the Mickey’s PhilharMagic. The PhilharMagic is a 12-minute show feature 3D effects, scents, and water and characters from Disney movies. I’ve decided to skip it and just rest outside because it’s the same thing anyway. It would be cool if they offer different shows every year.
After the show, we went to the Jungle River Cruise. Sorry, no photos of the ride. I was just scared I might get my camera wet, lol. But my family, again without me in the scene, saw Enrique Gil. :p After that, we went straight to It’s A Small World.
You’ll also see different Disney characters throughout the ride.

Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbor
Ariel’s area/booth was so weird. They were singing but because they live under the sea, their voices were all muffled. Hahaha.
My favorite part of the ride. <3
To be honest, I never had the chance to ride this carousel because of the insane queue.

Hong Kong Disneyland (Deux)
This is Part 2 of my Hong Kong Disneyland Photo Diary.
There’s a 50-50 chance that this will be the end of my Hong Kong photo diary. I can’t really remember where did I put the rest of the photos. :( Hopefully, I can all sort this out this weekend after my Internet usage has been reset back to zero.

The place where the magic begins. For the third time now, we spent Christmas Day at the Happiest Place on Earth. The place is jam-packed but the crowd was tolerable (well, not until after the fireworks where everyone else is at Main Street). Not a lot has changed but they added two new attractions and a whole lot of new stuff at the stores (+ Star Wars goodies!).

The most convenient, cheap and fun way to get to Disneyland is by taking the MRT. They have their own station and the train is even decorated with different Disney characters. You can also get there via public buses, private coaches and cabs.
Due to the fact that Disneyland is located in Lantau Island, which consist of mountainous terrains, it is recommended that you bring a raincoat. Based from experience, a rainy day at Disneyland won’t stop tourists from coming but it is less crowded and you won’t get to see all of the mascots.

Every Christmas, they set up this tall tree at end of Main Street. And at nght, once the fireworks is over, the area is showered with white foam stuff to make it look like it’s snowing in the area. On top of the that, the cool weather in Hong Kong makes the whole thing legit.
She’s so happy… :P
There are scheduled parades, shows and picture taking all throughout the day. My mom and I got separated prior to the parade, but once it was over, we saw her holding the rope that serves as a perimeter for the mascots and performers. We decided to join her and it felt like we were part of the parade, as well.
I’m not a big fan of mascots but I scream every time I see Mickey Mouse and his friends. We would actually fall in line just to get a photo with them… even if the waiting time takes for more than 30 minutes!
But it was already lunch time and I’m getting hungry. So I went out to buy some waffles while waiting for our turn. The waffles cost HK$50 and it comes with a disposable mickey mouse tray/plate, strawberries, whipped cream and maple syrup. Pricey but yum!

There were two new attractions at Hong Kong Disneyland: Grizzly Gulch and Toy Story Land. But because both attractions were located at the very end of the park, we were only able to check out Toy Story Land.
You’re instantly like a size of a toy when you enter Toy Story Land because of the giant props and designs used. The vicinity was covered with bamboos and tall grasses, making it appear like you’re in Andy’s backyard or something. The park, as of the moment, has three rides to offer: Slinky Dog Spin, RC Racer and Toy Soldier Parachute Drop. And because it’s Disneyland’s latest attraction, the waiting time for each ride was approximately 60-70 minutes.

Truth be told, I don’t like to ride roller coasters or any high-speed rides. I’m not scared of the height or the thrill that comes along with it but I just can’t stand that falling feeling, as if your soul was being left behind. I rode the Toy Soldier Parachute and I slightly felt that during the drop. I’m just glad that the feeling was tolerable.
I’ve already posted more than 20 photos already, so I’m going to end this entry here.
