The Style Mermaid by Kisty Mea • The Big Blog Exchange As many of you know, I’m currently joining the Big Blog Exchange contest. What is this contest all about, you ask? Here’s a brief description: The Big Blog Exchange is an exciting, unique, and exclusive project organized by Hostelling International, a global network of Youth Hostel Association. This wonderful project will send sixteen (16) passionate bloggers, swap lives, blogs, cultures and places simultaneously in real life for ten days.  It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity any bloggers wouldn’t want (and shouldn’t!) to miss. The moment I found about this contest, I didn’t hesitate. I clicked the ”Participate“ button and submitted my entry. I love to travel and this might be my chance to be sent out to the other side of world, where cultures and beliefs are far more different from where I am right now. I‘ve always believe that traveling will change me in the most perplexed way but at the same time, it can help me understand the world even further. And the Big Blog Exchange can help me achieve that.  BUT WHY SHOULD YOU VOTE FOR ME AND MY BLOG? I’ll give you three reasons why: 01: Who here loves my travel photo diaries? Personally, they’re my favorite entries. If I’m lucky enough to be one of the 16 bloggers, then I get to take a lot of beautiful photos of the country I’m going to visit and I’ll be able to share them with you. :)  02: I like to share. I like to share the iPhone apps I use, the blogs I like, and even the sites I download all of my fonts. Blogging is all about sharing anyway. If chosen, then I get to share my experience with my readers in a fun and informative way! :)  03: I was told that I was kind and that I know the language of the universe. To be honest, that was the biggest compliment I’ve ever received… So, does that count for something? Yes? No? Either way, your vote will make me a happy girl. :)   ALSO: I LOVE BACON. Paying Your Kindness Forward

I woke up this morning and found out that once again, someone reported my entry to the Big Blog Exchange. Whether or not this has been an act of desperation or spite, I don’t really know. I feel sad, since I don’t think there was anything wrong with my entry and I think this was done mostly out of spite. As far as I know, I did not violate any of the rules in the contest. But I want to go past that. I don’t know if they will return my entry or not, I’m still hoping they will. Apparently, I was too sick (or tired) to notice that they were having a V-DAY promo. &#8220;Enroll and add a friend on us!&#8221;, says on the fine print.  Truthfully speaking, I would love to give the access link to anyone who is interested but some people just join for the sake of winning something free. So I figured, I&#8217;ll just throw a quick Instagram contest to stir things up.  Mechanics: Upload your best iPhone photo, tag me (@kistybelle) and add the hashtag #kistybelle. No need to follow me. Just show me your budding iPhoneography talent. :)  I will accept old or new entries, just as long as the photo is taken with an Apple device (iPod Touch or iPhone). Minimal editing/processing is preferred. More importantly, you must tag me and add the hashtag in order for me to see the photo. :)
