The Six Steps Process to Healthier Hair

Who's the blogger with the worst backlog? I am! Obviously, editing photos, in a timely manner, is not my strongest suit because these were taken last November. And since then, I had three beach trips a.k.a. my hair needs some major TLC pronto.

Anyhoo, since we're already talking about hair, I might as well share with you the process of keratin treatments — the superheroes of uber dry and damaged hair. I've tried keratin treatments at several salons, all of them have used different products (Keratherapy, iCure, etc.). They all follow the same process, which is illustrated through my photos below. One treatment can take about 90 minutes or longer, and may sting your eyes.

This is my hair before the treatment. Messy and all over the place.

Step 1: Wash hair to remove residue  Step 2: Blow-dry hair

Step 3: Apply treatment.  Step 4: Leave the treatment on hair for 30 to 45 minutes.

Step 5: Blowdry hair WITHOUT rinsing the treatment. Step 6: Iron hair to further 'seal' the treatment.

And voila~! Instant healthier-looking hair in 90 minutes!

POST-TREATMENT COMMENTS: The treatment made my hair color one shade lighter and straighter for a couple of weeks. My hair also became more manageable, which is great because bleach hair is awful... If only I could afford having keratin treatments every month.

CURLY OR WAVY HAIR: A keratin treatment will smoothen out frizzy, wavy and curly hair, but it's not permanent. Your curls will come back after a few weeks or months, depending on how you take good care of your hair.
